Academy Program Schedule - click HERE
The NDFC Academy program is open to all levels. The Academy Program offers extra training (additional training outside of regular team practice) that will help all players develop their individual skills and game play. This is the perfect opportunity for those players wishing to move up in level: they will be placed within a group by ability and/or age where they will most succeed and grow. Players development will be continuously assessed throughout the program, there may be player movement in order to benefit each player and help them strengthen all their abilities and skills. NDFC's Academy goal is to grow interest and love for the game of soccer, and to assist all players in achieving their goals, whether it be moving up from house to development level, or from development level to varsity.
Player Academy Program
U6-U7: INTRODUCTORY TRAINING
This program is designed to provide a fun and welcoming introduction while teaching the basic skills of soccer. These sessions will include a variety of fun games and skill-based activities, as well as small sided scrimmages to introduce the game of soccer.
U8-U10: DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
This age group is key to a soccer player's development in their athletic abilities and skills. If one wishes to play high level soccer (such as Varsity or Premier league) in the future, it is necessary that they get the proper coaching during this stage of development. This is where all players should learn ball mastery and begin learning more about the game of play. These sessions will emphasize ball control and technique.
U11-U14: INTERMEDIATE TRAINING
This is the age group where we will focus on technical, tactical components of the game with increased pressure and higher demands on focus and discipline. In addition, a focus on speed and agility is incorporated into training sessions. This is the stage where players begin participating in competitive drills.
$135 per player - Please note that at this time, the Player Academy Program will only be running for U6 to U11 age groups for the Spring Season.

Goalie Academy Program
INTRO GOALIE PROGRAM (U8-U10)
Players interested in learning the position of the goal keeper can train in the academy with a Staff Coach. These sessions will focus on learning the basics of goalie positioning and play. Goalies may then train with other academy groups in game like situations in order to assess their understanding of the game from the keeper's point of view. As the goalie progresses, they will focus on goalie skills (diving, positioning, high balls, challenging, etc).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - PHO RESTRICTIONS
If the PHO restrictions move from Phase 1 (current phase) to Phase 2, players who are registered for both Spring Academy and Spring League will have their Academy fees refunded accordingly. We are optimistic that ViaSport will allow players to play in both programs; however, if we are in Phase 2 and players need to be in cohorts, players cannot participate in the Academy program and only participate in the League program.
Refunds related to the PHO restrictions will be provided as follows:
if PHO restrictions change before the start of the season and players are not allowed to play in both programs, a full refund will be provided.
if PHO restrictions change after the start of the program, players will be provided with a pro-rated refund.
