Elite Development Academy

The Elite Academy is open to players currently on a Development Team for the 2022.2023 season.

​

Foundation Phase (Ages 8 to 11)

The Foundation Phase academy is for the young player who is striving to improve, loves the ball and scoring goals, and enjoys being creative. This curriculum focuses on maximizing player participation, with a series of training sessions designed to give
players the technical edge as they navigate their way in youth competitive soccer. Coaches provide an intensive focus on technique, movement, goal-scoring, game intelligence, and mental preparation. This will provide the player with everything they
need to leave the program feeling confident and prepared to apply in their own team environment.

Youth Development Phase Program (Ages 12 to 14)

The Youth Development Phase Elite Development Academy is perfect for players that are keen to train, focus and develop as young soccer players. Ideally this is for players who either currently play a high-performance league or strive to make it to that level of play. The week will have an 11 aside tactical focus combined with individual concepts that relate to the full field game. We will look at position specific training; whether you are a central defender that is looking to learn how to play out the back better, a holding midfielder that wants to know how to control the midfield, an attacking central midfielder that wants to attack and create goal-scoring chances, or a striker or winger looking to provide that extra bit of quality in the final third to create and score goals, this is the academy for you! We will focus on team tactics, unit work alongside the position specific work, including how to apply these tactics when you return to your own playing environments. These sessions will also have a strong technical focus in terms of
developing well rounded habits from passing, dribbling and 1v1 skills, first touch, crossing and finishing, defending 1v1 and defending as a group and team.

Youth Development Phase Highlights

• Crossing and shooting Day! (Every player wants to score goals)

PROGRAM DETAILS:

• open to development players U8-U15

• one training session per week run by certified staff coaches

• players must wear shin pads and cleats/soccer boots to each training session.
